One of Anne's pictures is of Queen Wilhemina, the queen of the Netherlands from 1890 to 1948. This particular picture is from 1942. When Germany invaded the country in 1940, she fled to the United Kingdom and set up government in exile. She became a popular leader and was well-respected. Her photograph was a sign of resistance against Germany during the war.

While these pictures are the only ones specifically pointed out in the script, in reality she had many more. Many of her pictures were simply cut out from magazines, but she has some interesting items, such as a postcard with chimpanzees.
Of course, Anne also had personal pictures from her life. Ice skating with her friends, a day at the beach with her family, birthday parties and times of joy before she went into hiding.
