Also known as: Peter van Pels (real name)
Born: November 8, 1926 Died: May 10, 1945 of exhaustion in Mauthausen MBTI: ISTP ISTPs are independent, action-based, detail-oriented, and analytical. They can also be awkward and aloof. Click here to learn more about ISTPs. Peter was born in Osnabrück, Germany, near the Dutch border. He lived in Germany until age eleven, when his family moved to the Netherlands in 1938. In 1942, he moved in with his parents and the Franks in the Annex. It's evident that he knew Anne prior to the Annex, but they were only acquaintances (he gave her a chocolate bar for her birthday). After the arrest, he was sent to Auschwitz but survived the selection. He survived the "death march" to Mauthausen in Austria, but later died in the camp three days before it was liberated.
